Porsche racer - Jonathan Williamson

The Porsche Perfection web site home page photo is of Jonathan Williamson in action at Wiscombe Park. Burnham-on-Sea MC member Jonathan is a Wiscombe regular in his 3.2 litre 911 Carrera. He often shares the car with Laura Wardle. Occasionally, he also competes in a Porsche 914/6.

Jonathan has been racing Porsche's for many years. He was crowned the Shell Oils ASWMC (Association of South West Motor Clubs) Hillclimb Champion in 1984 in a 911 Targa. He then purchased a 3.0 litre 911 Carrera – TVK 970S – and won the ’86 ASWMC Championship. For ’87, the engine was enlarged to 3.2 litres and again, became Champion. Jonathan also competes nationally - he won second in class in the 2018 British Hillclimb Leaders Championship.

This car / driver combination is one of the longest partnerships in hillclimb history – 36 years and counting!
