Legendary Porsches - Icons of Motorsport

A great video looking at 6 classic racing Porsches that between them have won over 500 races. The cars featured are:

550 Spyder (1956)

917-30 Spyder (1972)

911 953 Paris-Dakar (1984)

962C (1986)

911GT1 (1998)

919 Hybrid (2009)

These cars are part of the 600 vehicles in the collection at the Porsche Museum, Zuffenhausen, Stuttgart.

All the cars are driven around Porsche’s 2.2Km Leipzig test track which replicates some of the greatest corners from race track’s around the world. Five of the cars are driven by Lars Kern, a Porsche test and development driver. The 962C is driven by German ex F1 racing legend Hans-Joachim Stuck who won at Le Mans in 1986 and 1987 in the car. He went on to also win the DTM title in 1990.
