About me

I have been interested in photography, cars and motorsport from an early age. The first car that I photographed was James Hunt's 1976 World Championship winning McLaren M23 at the age of 14.

My passion for photography cars and motorsport continued to grow with visits to Brands Hatch, Silverstone, Thruxton, Donington Park and my local venue - Wiscombe Park - a speed hillclimb venue that hosts the British Championships.

During the 80's and 90's, I was privileged to be granted track side and pit access by McLaren and TWR Jaguar. This offered an amazing opportunity to get close to the F1 and World Sportscar action!

Living on the South Devon coast, the English Riviera, during the late 70's I also became interested in offshore powerboat racing. A sport that has many parallels with motorsport - high octane, very fast and extremely dangerous. Torbay is a destination for the Cowes-Torquay-Cowes event - the most famous powerboat race in the world. First held as the Cowes-Torquay in 1961 and won by Tommy Sopwith in "Thunderbolt" - also a famous racing driver of the period.

During the 80's I combined my love of photography with writing articles.

My photo's have been published in many publications over the years, and I have also won a few competitions along the way.

After being a regular spectator at Wiscombe Park Hillclimb since the late 70's, I became the Publicity Director in 2022 and the official photographer for the venue. I am also the official photographer for the powerboat organisation, the Offshore Circuit Racing Drivers Association (OCRDA) - organisers of the largest race series in the UK.

I am a regular contributor of photographs and articles to many publications and web sites, both local, national and international.
